Create a Shipment
A shipment on Vandelta starts with a label. The label is the contract for that carton: addresses, service, weight you declared, and the tracking number every scan will attach to. Pickup is a separate request. Do not schedule pickup for cartons that do not yet have a label.
What happens when you print
The origin and destination you enter are validated as deliverable postal codes on this U.S. site. The service you pick must match the contents and the promise you made to the consignee. Express Overnight is next business day after a timely tender. Ground is day-definite. International Export adds customs data; incomplete commodity or value will hold the parcel at export.
Weight and dimensions on the label are what you typed. If the carton we measure is heavier or larger, the invoice uses the measured values and any additional handling that applies. That correction is described in the Fuel and Accessorial Guide.
Tender after the label
Once the tracking number exists, either schedule a pickup for the ready time at your door, or take the carton to a listed location before cutoff. A label without a tender does not move. If you print late in the day, the first scan may be the next sort, which moves the delivery day.
Restricted contents must be declared before print. Read the Restricted Items Guide first. High-value goods should use declared-value coverage on the same booking.
