Roadie
A local driver picks up at your dock or store and delivers inside a booked window. Use it when the next Ground or Express sort is too late.
A Booked Window, Not the Next Sort
Parcel services wait for a cutoff, then a hub. Roadie assigns a driver for a specific pickup and a delivery window in a listed metro. Tracking starts at pickup and ends at the door scan.
Oversized, assembled, or same-afternoon retail items that still fit a van belong here. Line-haul freight and overnight air do not.
Same-Day Metro
When to Book Roadie
If the shipment can make a listed Same-Day Metro cutoff as a labeled parcel, use that service instead.
- Store to door
- A sold unit leaves the selling store the same day. The buyer gets a window, not a two-day Ground estimate.
- Dock to job site
- Parts or tools that miss a production slot if they sit overnight. Confirm access hours before you book.
- Not for line-haul
- Pallets that fill a trailer use LTL or Full Truckload. Roadie is a van move inside one metro.
