Warehousing and Fulfillment for Stored Inventory
Store inventory in a Vandelta facility, then pick, pack, and ship parcels or freight when orders are released.
Receive Stock, Store It, and Ship When Orders Drop
Warehousing and fulfillment holds your inventory in a Vandelta building, then releases it as parcel or freight when an order is received. Inbound receipts are checked against the advance ship notice. Outbound uses the same parcel and freight network already on your account.
This is for sellers and manufacturers who do not want every order to leave their own dock. SKU setup, cartonization, and cutoffs are agreed before go-live. Same-day outbound depends on order time versus the building’s ship cutoff.
Fulfillment is not public storage for household goods. It is not a substitute for Cold Chain unless the building and SKU are set up for temperature control.

What Fulfillment Includes
- Inbound receiving against an advance ship notice
- Pallet or bin storage by SKU
- Pick, pack, and label for parcel outbound
- Pallet build and dock handoff for freight outbound
- Inventory counts visible to the account
- Returns intake when a return program is on the contract
How Fulfillment Is Set Up
01
Map SKUs and volume
Item dimensions, packaging, and expected order lines determine slotting and labor.
02
Send inbound inventory
Book a receipt. Freight is checked in and put away before orders can allocate.
03
Release orders
Orders received before cutoff pick the same day. Parcel and freight use the services on your account.
When Fulfillment Is the Right Service
Use fulfillment when
- You hold finished goods that ship in many small orders.
- You want pickup and labeling done at a Vandelta building.
- Inbound arrives as freight and outbound leaves as parcel or LTL.
Choose another service when
- You ship each order from your own dock — use Parcel or LTL directly.
- You need a one-time dedicated trailer — use Full Truckload.
- The SKU must stay in a stated temperature band — use Cold Chain.
SKUs, Cutoffs, and Inbound
Fulfillment runs on item master data. Incomplete dimensions delay receiving.
- Item master
- SKU, barcode, length, width, height, and weight are required before the first receipt.
- Inbound
- Pallets labeled by SKU. Mixed pallets without a packing list are held until identified.
- Cutoff
- Same-day parcel outbound depends on the building’s ship cutoff, not the carrier’s latest pickup.
- Hazmat and perishables
- Only SKUs approved for the building. Food and pharma may require Cold Chain capacity.
